QUEENS AREA LOCAL HOSTS PHONE BANK CAMPAIGN TO RE-ELECT OBAMA- BIDEN
Updated On: Oct 26, 2012
With the National election less than a month away, Queens Area Local, APWU President Ron Suslak met with Democratic National Committee organizers and agreed to utilize the Union Hall as a phone bank center in an effort to encourage Americans to vote for President Obama. President Ron Suslak stated “It is absolutely critical that every union member not only vote, but join in the fight to protect their jobs! The choice has never been clearer- the very survival of the American middle class is at stake! The re-election of President Obama is essential to every postal worker’s job security. Romney has made it clear that he will work to privatize the Postal Service. We can’t let that happen!”
The phone bank will be operating from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the following days:
October 20 October 27 and 28 November 2-6
Anyone interested in volunteering some time can call the Union Hall at (718) 845-8113. If no one is available when you call, please leave a message and you will be contacted.
